• THE COUNTRY CLUB OF ASHEVILLE
A private golf club featuring 18 holes and 6638 yards open all year, with a
reciprocal guest policy. Enjoy the course's back nine greens and front nine
run on hilly terrain with tree-lined fairways.
The Country Club of Asheville was originally founded in 1894, listed by the
USGA and the GOLF Magazine, as one of the first 100 clubs established in the
United States.
Designed by Donald Ross and re-built in 1928, one of its most difficult and
longest holes is #4, a 410-yard, par 4. Furthermore, Water comes into play on
four holes.
The dress code is no denim, collared shirt and Bermuda shorts required

• BILTMORE FOREST COUNTRY CLUB
This is an 18-hole private club located on 6606 yards rolling terrain, designed
with tree-lined fairways and fast undulating greens and water hazards into play
on 7 holes.
The Biltmore Forest Country Club was built in 1925, designed by Donald Ross,
and hosted the 1999 U.S. Women's Amateur Championship.
This course features impressive mountain views and is open all year, however
the club has a closed guest policy, guests can only play if accompanied by a
member, and the dress code dictates collared shirt and Bermuda shorts required,
no denim.

• BUNCOMBE COUNTY MUNICIPAL GOLF COURSE
Opposite to Biltmore, this is a 18 holes public course open all year, featuring
a flat front nine, and a hilly back nine with tree-lined fairways.
Buncombe County Municipal Golf Course was built in 1927 and designed with 6356
yards by Donald Ross, with no water involved in the design. Dress code just
states no tank tops or cutoffs.

• GREAT SMOKIES HOLIDAY INN SUN SPREE RESORT
This resort is opened year-round but closed on Mondays. Mandatory carts on Friday,
Saturday, and Sunday. Like in other golf courses, no denim, collared shirt and
Bermuda shorts are part of the dress code required.
Nestled on 120 acres within the Appalachians, this 18 holes course has the
valuable views of the surrounding Great Smoky and the Blue Ridge Mountains,
where there are also streams coming into play throughout the entire course's
design.
Great Smokies Holiday Inn SunSpree Golf and Tennis Resort was designed by William
B. Lewis and built in 1976.

• THE GROVE PARK INN RESORT
Open all year, this course is featured in North Carolina's oldest resort built
in 1913 from granite stones mined from Sunset Mountain, overlooking the Asheville
skyline and majestic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
However, this course was built in 1899 on rolling hills, based on a Donald
Ross' design. The uneven lies and green fee are good for all-day play. Transportation
to and from the course is provided by the hotel shuttle service at no charge.
With 18 holes, several strategically placed bunkers throughout 6520 yards and
water hazards consist of winding streams coming into play on six holes, the
higher elevations offer a magnificent view of the mountains.
During 2005, the Grove Park Golf Course was rated 32nd best in the state by
the North Carolina magazine golf panel. T, and included in the Golfweek magazine's
"America's Best" listings, rated as the 8th best in North Carolina.
